Ewal: Musician that have a big talent!

Music is the key and a therapy to your soul. Sometimes a musical melody can trigger thoughts and memories of a favorite place, person or event. Apparently, music have a big influence to their life like they need listen to music while put a makeup on, they need listen to music while they are sad, which this shows that music that we listen can influenced our mood and be like a therapy to our soul. Speaking about music, it will be not complete if there are no singer. Ewal, a young talented and energetic uprising singer won a third place from a reality program which is Akademi Fantasia 2014.

          Ikhwal Hafiz Ismail who is known as Ewal, 26, began his career with rebranding name of Iqwal since 2014. Ewal name so familiar among the local art enthusiasts. Ewal or Iqwal both are still the same people, but his soul is different.    

Actually he was not new to the world of art since his journey of career actually began since 4 years old but he is not as famous as others singer in Malaysia. Even though, he do not have the popularity, but the talent that he had actually something that we can proud of, since he got international recognition and make our country proud by winning in World Championship of Performing Arts in 2008.

            However, the popularity is not parallel to the struggle in the work. Admittedly, Ewal not well observed until the second he stood on the stage of the Academy Fantasia. The stage like a ticket for a transform in his career.

            The younger of two siblings, he was charged with a provision restricting those who have never tasted becomes an artist when making a decision to join the Academy Fantasia 2014. Ewal believes in talent and ability and takes the stages as an opportunities to improve his life.

           Growing up in a family of artists, Ewal admit his life is greatly influenced by the music when he often followed his father, Ismail Zainuddin (Mel Wings), performing and composing in the studio owned by his family. His mother Normin Shah Khairuddin @ Myn used to sing professionally in holiday Star Cruises (SuperStar Aquarius & SuperStar Gemini) and 5 star resorts.

“My family never forced me to be a singer, but I was interested in music since childhood. When the family saw my tendency in this field, so they give their support to me,” he said.

"At age 14 I quit school and learning from home (home school). Then I study at The Rock Shop, Subang Music School and obtained a Diploma in Music from the institution,” he added.

Besides singing, he also teaches vocal for people who intended to be a singer so they can know the real technique from the experienced singer. He is vocal teacher at Suara Academy located at Neo Damansara.

His passion for singing that makes him not to give up but stay in the entertainment industry. He want his career of life have improvement and more achievement so that he can be recognize for his talent like his idol which is Micheal Jackson.

The big achievement that he received which he was awarded four gold medals at the World Championship of Performing Arts in Los Angeles, United States, at the age 16, and at age 21, he already has four solo albums.

           There are a lot of things to do in future but he hopes that his career will long lasting and be a successful entertainer. There are something specific since he already get a big achievement in his career life.
